Singer was born on the 26th of November 1986 in Santa Monica California United States of America. She is the child of her dad Vincenzo and maternal grandmother Valerie Barba. Her family and she moved to Point Pleasant New Jersey when she was just six years old. Red Bank Catholic High School was where she completed the formal education she needed in New Jersey. After that, she went to Catholic University and graduated with a bachelor's degree in architectural design. As well, she played the violin since the age 4, and was also known by the name of Violin Lady. In recognition of her skills, she was called by that name. Also, she taught children in the locality playing the violin. She performed Free throughout 1976 when she made the auditions for America Idol's 6th season at age 19.
